Description

Rocket ‘Windsor’ is a fast-growing perennial which can grow to 1 metre tall and 80cm wide. It will need protection from frost. The plant has a long tap root so can seek water much deeper in the soil in dry conditions. The narrow, mid-green, deeply serrated leaves have a stronger flavour than ‘salad’ rocket. The older the leaf, the more pungent the flavour. Yellow flowers, with four petals, appear in late spring through summer. All species of “wild rocket” Diplotaxis tenuifolia self-seeds freely and can become weedy.
