Description

Tomato ‘Brandywine’ is a climbing vine to 1.6 metres, which needs support. It is a well-known Amish heirloom variety with a potato-type leaf. The large, flat, pinkish fruit weigh 400g–700g each. ‘Brandywine’ is a meaty, juicy and richly-flavoured tomato.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
