Description

Tomato ‘Ice’ is a Mexican, early maturing, indeterminate (climbing) variety to 1.5 metres that needs staking. The fruit, which ripens from green to ‘white’ to yellow, is edible from ‘white’ onwards. Yellow tomatoes are very sweet. The taste is low in acidity. With its glossy appearance, this variety looks great in salads.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
