Description

Tomato ‘Tigerella’ is an indeterminate (climbing) vine which will need support. It is an heirloom variety originally from England; our seed has been grown and adapted to gardens in western Sydney. The vine produces a crop over an extended period. The fruit is medium-sized, red with orange stripe, and the flavour is tangy yet sweet.
Tomatoes are “buzz pollinated”. Cross-pollination is unusual but it can happen if there are bees, particularly the Australian native blue-banded bee going from the flowers of one plant to the flowers of another.
