Amla, also known as Indian Gooseberry is a deciduous tree to 8m high, 5m wide. Young plants can be espaliered. More mature trees may be coppiced. Grown in a container to keep to a manageable size. Sour fruit with high Vitamin C content. High in pectin; ideal for jams/chutneys. fruits in 7-10 years.
